Hey,
I am Kelly Carvin, a local singer/songwriter who has been supporting the local scene for about 3 years now. I have been waiting for a new place that 'gets it' ever sense the 449 room closed. Cafe International has the vision, the people and the intentions behind it - they 'get it'.
When they opened, I heard about it from all different directions, so I knew I had to go. I went and felt at home instantly. The people that go are amazing, inspiring and talented. It is culturally rich with all kinds of people and age groups with the same thing in mind - good vibes and good times. They have great food, you can BYOB and they host artistic and diverse events. How much better does it get?! I love it! Anyone would!
When you go, you feel at home - apart of something. So come out and be apart of history - something real, something that makes you feel. This is it folks! There really aren't words to describe. I am soooo happy to be apart of it! I'll be the crazy girl with the hula hoop singing and dancing!

I truly commend you all. The food is the best downtown by far. The prices are reasonable, and you get quite a bit of food. Keep up with the GREAT work.

I also had Joel Smith send this to his email list, so excuse the duplication if you already saw the message below.
I went to Cafe International last night (Talent Tuesdays). The few times I've been, I was late, but last night I got there for a few acts.
It was amazing. As I sat listening to the many sounds, musicians and the spirit of the night I became extremely glad to be there.
Everyone was playing along together, singing together, enjoying and embracing the very positive vibe, that comes when music is played and the artists are on one accord. The music was so good that I couldnt help but dance!
In all the many years I've lived in Trenton (all 31..lol), I can't remember the last time I felt so very proud of the talented people we have living in our city!
You have to come out to the next event! If you don't you'll be missing out on history and on the future of great things to come for our city!
I promise you won't be disappointed. Its so wonderful, that $5 is a steal for the wealth of entertainment that is provided!
In addition the food is delicious! I'm a big time "food lover" and everything I've had has been tasty and filled with flavor! The fish hoagie is a favorite of mine... oh and gotta love the peach cobbler!
Cafe International.... great food, entertainment, atmosphere and people! See ya there!

The food and ambiance is great. A great place to relax and enjoy great company. I have been there several times and they always please. A rare dining experience.

From traditional Soul and Italian classics to Caribbean...Cafe International puts a unique and tasty spin on a wide variety of foods. Don't sleep on this much needed dining experience and definitely do NOT go there and not try the macaroni & cheese and oxtails!!
